After a short one-year break from production, the Nissan Titan truck is back! The 2017 Nissan Titan is a full-size light-duty truck that boasts a newly designed cabin, a beefy V8 engine and an aggressive stance. If you are in the market for a new light-duty truck, then the Titan is a great contender. Its warranty is one of the best in the truck class-- a five year/100,000-mile bumper to bumper warranty. It also won the 2017 Truck Trend award for Best Pickup Truck of the Year. What makes this truck so great? Keep reading to find out!

Under the Titan's Hood

Every 2017 Nissan Titan is powered by a 5.6-liter V8 engine, which is linked to a seven-speed automatic transmission. The engine is capable of 390 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque. All trim levels come with rear-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive is also an option. The only exception to this is the PRO-4X trim, which comes standard with only four-wheel drive. Speaking of four-wheel drive, the PRO-4X is the trim for you if you plan on tackling rough terrain with ATVS or motorcycles in tow. This trim comes equipped with all-terrain tires, a locking rear differential, off-road-designed Bilstein shocks, hill descent control, a seven-pin wiring harness connector, and a receiver hitch. As for towing and payload capacities, the 2017 Nissan Titan can tow up to 9,390 pounds, and it has a payload capacity of 1,610, depending on its configuration and equipment.

Design of Nissan  Titan

There are two cab sizes offered with the 2017 Nissan Titan. The basic work truck option includes a single cab with a long 8-foot-2.5-inch cargo bed. All other trims come with the crew cab and a 5-foot-7-inch bed. The crew cab seats five or six, depending on the trim and equipment. There are five trims to choose from: S, SV, Pro-4X, SL, and the Platinum Reserve. The S trim comes with either the single or crew cab, along with a host of features. For example, there are 18-inch steel wheels, a locking tailgate, power windows and locks, A/C, LED bed lights on the rear cab, cloth seating, a 5-inch color display, Bluetooth, and more. Moving up, the SV includes chrome exterior accents, alloy wheels, satellite radio, and a trailer sway control system, among other features. The off-roading PRO-4X trim tacks on front tow hooks, a spray-in bedliner, skid plates, a rear backup camera, keyless entry and ignition, special cloth upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen, voice-activated controls, a navigation system, a 110-volt household-style power outlet, and more. Moving up to the luxury trims, the SL and Platinum Reserve, you will benefit from an array of features to enhance comfort and convenience. For example, there is a driver's seat memory system, ventilated front seats, and folding mirrors with puddle lamps, just to name a few. One of the more notable features is the Utili-Track system, which comes standard in the higher trims and is also offered in a utility package in lower trims. This system adds five tracks on the inside of the truck bed and floor. Metal tie-down cleats slide and lock on these tracks, which then allows you to secure your cargo to these cleats with rope or bungee cords.
